Recurring leaks may point to a foundation problem. Expansion and contraction of the ground causes the slab to rise and fall ever so slightly. Even a fraction of an inch in movement can break a seal and cause a leak. Attempts at sealing the leak are made, only to be foiled by the next freeze-thaw cycle.
Other causes may be related to actual roof conditions including the flashing, shingles or materials used to construct the roof. The best resolution begins with a visual inspection by one of our designers.
A lot of older rooms may have been a combination of decent walls with a low-tech roof, or vice versa. A portion of our business involves removing these old roofs and installing our insulated roof system over the old walls. A visual inspection is required to determine feasibility.
